Once you have applied to AIP and secured an internship, please follow the steps below.
Be prepared to submit contact information for your supervisor and faculty advisor. You will also be required to create three Learning Objectives. Print the form and take it to your internship supervisor and faculty advisor for signature.
Hint: Once on the Learning Agreement page, click the "Add New" button to open the form.
Your AIP counselor will email you once you have been preauthorized to enroll.
Meet with your faculty advisor to finalize your paper topic or proposed project, and complete the Special Studies Form. Obtain your faculty advisor's signature on both the Special Studies Form and the Learning Agreement.
Please see Important Dates for deadlines, and Contact AIP if you have any problems with the enrollment process.
Students participating in the Academic Internship Program make a commitment not only to AIP, but also to the organizations that agree to host them as interns. Because of the impact on all parties involved, students are highly discouraged from dropping AIP 197 once they have begun their internships. If you are experiencing difficulty at your internship or unforeseen circumstances make it necessary for you to drop AIP 197, please contact your AIP counselor to discuss your situation.
