Welcome to the Academic Internship Program! AIP provides opportunities to earn academic credit for an internship related to your studies and career goals. Academic internships are excellent ways to:

• Explore career options
• Gain practical experience
• Apply classroom learning to work settings
• Make professional contacts

AIP staff will guide you through the process of securing an internship and enrollment to receive upper-division credit. To participate in AIP, you must meet the following criteria at the time of application:

• 90 units completed
• 2.5 minimum GPA (2.7 minimum GPA for all lab internships)
• At least 2 upper division courses completed

Transfer students must have completed one quarter, full time, prior to date of application.
