Housing and Facilities
All UCDC participants live in the UC Washington Center at 1608 Rhode Island Ave, NW, Washington, DC, 20036.
The building includes:
- Student apartments
- Classrooms
- State-of-the-art teaching technology
- Fitness center
- Lounges and auditorium
The apartments are 2 bedroom/1 bathroom, shared by four students. All rooms are fully furnished, and kitchens are fully equipped. The UC Washington Center offers cable TV and wi-fi.
Costs
Housing costs vary by quarter, and include all amenities except sheets and towels. Housing fees are paid in advance, for some quarters as early as 4-6 weeks after being admitted to the program.
Accomodations
Students seeking disability accommodations at the UC Washington Center must be registered with the UC San Diego Office for Students with Disabilities and notify the campus UCDC Coordinator immediately after acceptance into the UCDC program. Special accommodation may be given to returning students, or participants with existing health conditions.
